Our story

Kenyan-owned, based in Nakuru.

We keep the team small on purpose. Fewer trips means more attention, and the person who plans your trip is the same person who answers when you call.

EST. 2008

Away from monotonous life.

That line has been on our wall since the first year, and we mean it. People come to us with only a few days off and a lot of hope. Our job is to make sure those days are not lost to long queues, the wrong season, or a camp two hours from the animals.

So we keep the team small and our knowledge deep. We drive the routes ourselves. We know which lodge has a new cook, which gate gets busy in the morning, and which part of the river is worth the extra hour.

How we work

Three pillars, held firmly.

Curation

We do not sell ready-made packages. We plan each trip around the season, where the animals are, and the people we know on the ground.

Craft

Our driver-guides have worked in the Mara and Laikipia for over ten years. Good vehicles, calm driving, and plenty of time at every sighting.

Care

One person looks after you from your first message to your last drop-off, and you can reach them any time, even for a very early flight.

Milestones

A decade on the road.

  1. 2008

    A small office in Nakuru

Two guides and one car, taking weekend groups to Lake Nakuru and Naivasha and writing every plan by hand.

  2. 2012

    The Mara season

Our first full migration season with our own spotters in the Mara. It changed the way we plan every July.

  3. 2018

    Home ground

When borders closed, we showed Kenyans their own country: Ol Pejeta, Elementaita, Diani. Half our travellers are still local.

  4. 2024

    Beyond the continent

Dubai, Egypt, Cape Town and Santorini. Same personal service, just further from home.

In their words

Travellers who came back.

What a wonderful experience. The two tour leaders enthralled us with the history of the islands, and the food was bountiful — every island's speciality, one after another.

Clarion was great with the entire process, from planning to updates during the trip. We were eleven people and everything was perfectly executed. Truly the trip of a lifetime.

You did a fabulous job. There were no hitches at all. Thank you again for planning this trip — you made our anniversary memorable.

Booking through you made our lives so much easier. The tips and guidance before we left, on what to pack and what to expect, were genuinely helpful.
